Join our Excursion Quest to Ruby Falls, where you’ll journey deep into the heart of Lookout Mountain to witness one of the tallest and most breathtaking underground waterfalls in the world. Get ready to say, “Wow!” (and maybe, “How deep are we, again?”) as we descend into the depths of Earth for an unforgettable adventure.
Our quest begins with a scenic walk through the cave’s twisting passageways, where you’ll marvel at rock formations that look like something out of a sci-fi movie—except they’re real! Along the way, we’ll crack a few stalag-“tight” jokes and learn how these stunning formations have been growing drop by drop for millions of years. Don’t worry, we won’t quiz you on the difference between stalactites and stalagmites (but bonus points if you know it!).
And just when you think it can’t get any cooler, we’ll arrive at Ruby Falls. At 145 feet tall, this underground waterfall will leave you speechless, except for the inevitable “I need a picture of this!” moment. After soaking in the sights, we’ll head back up to daylight (yes, you can tell your friends you’ve “emerged from the depths”) and enjoy a packed lunch overlooking the incredible views from Lookout Mountain.

- Quest Holder Tickets: Perfect for adventurers who aren’t afraid to go underground, this ticket includes the full guided cave tour and an up-close experience with the awe-inspiring Ruby Falls.
- Grown-Up/Chaperone Tickets: Parents and guardians, grab a Grown-Up Ticket to join the fun or secure one of the limited Chaperone Tickets (only 4 per trip) if you’re ready to help lead the group and maybe brush up on your cave terminology.
- Tag-Along Tickets: Designed for our smallest spelunkers under 8, this ticket provides access to the cave and waterfall experience, but must be paired with a Grown-Up Ticket (for hand-holding and bravery purposes).
